• Metrocurean has the scoop on CapMac DC, a new pasta truck that should hit the DC streets in early November.

The gourmet pasta truck has some impressive culinary chops. CapMac's creator, chef Brian Arnoff, most recently worked under executive chef David Varley at Michael Mina’s Bourbon Steak. The native of Poughkeepsie, NY, has also worked with James Beard award winning chef Barbara Lynch at Sportello in Boston, and relevant to his pasta menu, he attended Apicius, the Culinary Institute of Florence.

Arnoff's menu will include soups, salads and pastas including a signature mac n’ cheese, chicken Parmigiano Reggiano meatballs with a provolone béchamel sauce, and a 20-layer lasagna.

Keep updated on the truck's progress — and free tastings of the CapMac n’ Cheese — on Twitter @CapMacDC.

• Young and Hungry rounds up details on more food trucks, including Bethesda's Fired Up Pizzas, Chez Dikel (via TBD), Dangerously Delicious Pies' new pie truck and The Big Cheese.

• Founding Farmers is planning a second location in Potomac, Md., according to the Washington Business Journal.
