Rogue 24

Rogue 24, the long-awaited restaurant from James Beard award winning chef RJ Cooper, has opened in a once-gritty warehouse space in Shaw's Blagden Alley.

The project, originally conceived as a home for the ambitious 24-course menu Cooper created while at Vidalia, has expanded to include a few more options for guests. There's a 16-course menu, priced at $100 ($145 with alcoholic beverage pairings), in addition to the namesake 24-course "journey" menu, priced at $120 ($175 with pairings).

Cooper and his team construct the multi-course meals from an open kitchen in the center of the dining room. “For guests seeking an intimate dining experience, we’ve turned the traditional restaurant inside out and brought the kitchen to the guests," Cooper said in a release. "Each table is a chef’s table, and each course is carefully constructed to build upon the flavors of the previous course, guiding the taste buds on an unexpected journey.”

If you're looking for a less committal experience, a 14-seat salon will serve a la carte dishes and a menu of handcrafted cocktails to walk-in guests.

Cooper drafted a talented team to staff Rogue 24. Sommelier and manager Matthew Carroll comes from 2941 and the Inn at Little Washington. Pastry chef (and skilled photographer) Chris Ford comes from Trummer’s on Main and was a StarChefs Rising Star Pastry Chef. Columbia Room's Derek Brown consulted on the craft cocktail list.

Hilda Staples and Judy Cooper are also partners of Rogue 24.
