Merzi should start dishing out its signature "Tandisserie" chicken (that's tandoori meets rotisserie) and casual Indian fare soon at 415 Seventh St. NW. Diners will choose a naan roll, rice bowl, salad or chaat, customized with a choice of meats, chutneys and masala sauces.

• The wildly popular Red Hook Lobster Pound tweets that a second truck is in the works to meet DC's lobster roll demands.

Pork Barrel BBQ will open its first restaurant in Del Ray at 2312 Mt. Vernon Ave. early next year.

The Washington Post looks into the challenges of an ambitious plan to open art galleries, a restaurant and (where the sun don't shine?) a winery underneath Dupont Circle.
